This was my first antelope taken opening morning of this year in area 111. He is somewhat unusual due to an abcessed lower molar that created an opening about the size of a quarter. Shot with his Dad’s 7mm STW. Area 196. Shot October 5, 2009. Becky Enos with her elk. - John Enos

Over 45 sheep using Corona and the Antelope have once again.... a good stable watering hole...not breached by livestock! (and nearly full to capacity) Thanks goes out to the hard working men and women of NBU Reno an others, for a job well done, on both projects. - Photo submitted by Bernie Crooks This is a picture of my wife Anna with her first Nevada Mule deer on her first ever Deer hunt last October 30 miles NW of Austin, Nevada. We stalked the 3 X 4 for about a mile and a half until we closed in on 150 yards. One shot with a 30-06 and the deer was down cleanly. Anna was very helpful in gutting and quartering the animal which was a bit difficult on the sloped terrain.

Fortunately, I was able to pack the entire animal out in one trip while Anna carried out our rifles and day packs. What a trooper! This happened on October 7 2008, the day of our 13th Anniversary. One we won't soon forget. - Drew Calvert

Here is the buck my son Alex and I harvested last season. This was my second attempt at landing a tag and my first big game hunt. We got this big boy just west of Las Vegas in the spring mountain range. I was lucky enough to have my son with me and now we are both hooked. We scored well and will be in the Nevada record book. I landed a muzzle loader antelope hunt this season and can’t wait to get camp set up,and yes my boy will be there too! I want to give a special thanks to my good friend Mark Genet, without his help and experience this wouldn’t have happened, he taught me a lot. - Joe Smith I harvested this antelope in area 31, I just took up archery hunting and this was my first! -Brand Thornton 2009 033-late I'd like to thank my friends: Alan Rose, John, Rose, Mike Zuppan, Steve Dundas, for the help and support they gave me on my hunt. -Bernie Crooks

This Antelope as you may see, has three years of un-shead horns. It was shot in area 041 by a non-res hunter. It was harvested by a Non Res. The fellow had a chance for other bucks in the group but passed for this one. ( don't think I could blame him ) He said the other bucks showed zero aggression to him and allowed him to be with the does in the group. Common sense for me is, if he had fought at all during the past three years the old head gear would have broken off. He also mentioned that the bucks testicles were really small, witch, to me, shows a lack of testosterone and an urge for breeding. I've heard of one  of the old horns sticking on,, but never like this, and may never see this again- Bernie Crooks John Smith, age 14. He shot this 3 point from 22 yards through the neck. Area 203. Great season! - Submited by Jim Smith Photo of me (Karen on the right) and my friend Catherine with our 2 Salukis who just competed at a coursing hunt. This past may my dad, Mike Castro, had an unbelievable day at the hinkson slough. We started fishing at around 8 a.m. And finished at around 1:30 p.m. For me I caught several small bass nothing over 14" but for my dad, he had trouble all day with his reel not working and getting knots in his line. He managed to catch a few bass during the day, but as we started to head back to shore to go home, his next three cast were unreal. He caught an 18" 4 lbs 8oz largemouth and two casts later he caught a 19 1/4" 6 lbs 4 oz monster. Both fish were released unharmed. The 6 lbs 4 oz bass will be my dad’s first trophy fish certificate submission. - Bruce Castro
