The Department of Wildlife's volunteer program called Volunteers on the PROWL (PReserving Our Wildlife Legacy) is now more than three years old. Volunteers work in the state of Nevada and are involved in all phases of the Department of Wildlife activities. A few of the projects volunteers are now contributing to include the Sage Grouse Conservation Plan, seed collection for rehabilitation on burnt areas, various wildlife surveys, research, hatcheries work and guzzler construction. Every year, volunteers contribute thousands of dollars worth of services to the Department of Wildlife. Volunteers can also assist the Department of Wildlife in the following areas: wildlife management check stations, trout and other fish stocking programs, hatchery operations and interpretation, nature center interpretation and visitor services, maintenance, angler and hunter education and numerous other programs. Visit the Activities Page to find out how you can become involved!
