Trout in the Classroom
Trout in the Classroom (TIC) is an NDOW educational program tied to the curricula for 4th and 5th grades, to teach students about the science, art, recreation and other values of fish and aquatic life.
Project Wild
Project WILD is one of the most widely-used conservation and environmental education programs among educators of students in kindergarten through high school. The program based on the premise that young people and educators have a vital interest in learning about our natural world. Project WILD emphasizes wildlife because of its intrinsic and ecological values, as well as its importance as a basis for teaching how ecosystems function. In the face of competing needs and pressures affecting the quality and sustainability of life on earth, Project WILD addresses the need for human beings to develop as responsible citizens of our planet. Project Learning Tree (PLT) is an award winning, broad-based environmental education program for educators and students in PreK - grade 12. PLT helps students learn HOW to think, not WHAT to think, about the environment. PLT, a program of the American Forest Foundation, is one of the most widely used environmental education programs in the United States and abroad.
