HOW TO FISH LAKE MEAD – A BASS FISHING SEMINAR
Lake Mead’s cagey bass can sometimes be a source of frustration for Nevada’s anglers, but those with a little know-how generally find success. So the Nevada Department of Wildlife is hosting a seminar on fishing Lake Mead. Members of several local bass fishing clubs will be on hand to share their knowledge of the lake and techniques they use for catching the three species of bass that are found in Lake Mead. Those are striped bass, largemouth bass and smallmouth bass.
There is no cost for the seminar, which is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17 at the Alan Bible (Lake Mead) Visitors Center located off of Highway 93 at Lakeshore Drive just east of Boulder City. For more information contact Ivy Santee at (702) 486-5127 x 3503.
The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) protects, restores and manages fish and wildlife, and promotes fishing, hunting, and boating safety. NDOW’s wildlife and habitat conservation efforts are primarily funded by sportsmen’s license and conservation fees and a federal surcharge on hunting and fishing gear. Support wildlife and habitat conservation in Nevada by purchasing a hunting, fishing, or combination license. For more information, visit www.ndow.org.
