NDOW OFFERS ANTELOPE SEMINAR
The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) is hosting an informational seminar for hunters interested in learning more about pronghorn antelope. While this annual workshop is held primarily for hunters who received an antelope tag for the upcoming hunting season. Other interested sportsmen also are invited to attend. Tag holders should receive an invitation letter in the mail.
The Antelope Seminar will be held July 15, 2009 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. in the Commission Chambers of the Clark County Government Center, 500 Grand Central Parkway.
Seminar participants can expect to learn about Nevada’s pronghorn antelope populations, the animal’s habitat and habits, hunting laws and regulations along with hunter safety considerations. An NDOW biologist and a game warden will be on hand to answer questions in their respective areas of responsibility and a local taxidermist and a wild game butcher will present information on field care of the animal once the tag is filled.
Anyone wanting more information on this workshop is encouraged to call the NDOW Southern Office, (702) 486-5127 x 3501.
