HUNTERS REMINDED TO TURN IN HARVEST DATA
Hunters must turn in their harvest data for last year’s hunts by 5 p.m. Jan. 31 in order to apply for a 2008-09 tag. Hunters can submit the information through the mail or online.
Harvest return card questionnaires must be completed and may be mailed to Wildlife Administrative Services Office, P.O. Box 1345 Fallon, NV 89407-or submitted online to www.huntnevada.com under “Harvest Return Cards.”
NDOW uses the data collected from big game questionnaires to accurately account for harvest from each herd. This allows NDOW biologists to track population levels and set appropriate tag quotas and season structure.
The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) protects, restores and manages fish and wildlife, and promotes fishing, hunting, and boating safety. NDOW’s wildlife and habitat conservation efforts are primarily funded by sportsmen’s license and conservation fees and a federal surcharge on hunting and fishing gear. Support wildlife and habitat conservation in Nevada by purchasing a hunting, fishing, or combination license. For more information, visit www.ndow.org
